The Guardian and D&AD wanted to announce a new partnership to establish a new global festival of creativity. The event will celebrate the power of creativity and explore how it shapes culture, intersects with business and helps us build a positive future.
Common Industry created a teaser film to announce the partnership at the 2018 D&AD Awards. Working to a tight timeframe, our creative concept ‘Creativity Makes Us…’ was brought to life with regular CI collaborators RSA and Studio Blackburn to make a film capturing the essence and importance of creativity to society and culture. Narrated by Anne-Marie Duff, the film contrasts social, artistic and momentous moments from recent history to create a passionate teaser for the festival.
